Swing Axle Suspension Buggy Set Up:

We recommend setting the S.A. Spring Plates at approximately 27 degrees and building up the Stops 1/8 to 3/16 or installing "Spring Plate Stops" =  Part # AC511109.*ck when using the stock 22mm torsion bars. HD 26mm bars

The Swing Axle Spring Plate Stops are one of the most important things you can do to a race or play buggy. And even more important to Baja and stock VW's ran off road.

If your in a corner and hit a bump, as soon as the car becomes light, the wheels tuck in and when you come back down, it's roll-over time.

Remember that the S.A. rear suspension and tire must swing in an Arc.

For this reason the Rear Tires must not have a Flat Tread. They must be convex for the Suspension to work properly.

Run Rear Tires that have a radius or convex tread and build up the Stops to keep the Tires from tucking in.

If you do any street driving keep the overall Tire Diameter to 27" diameter or less.

Larger Diameter Tires will put the Gearing to high to use top gear on any small hills.

If you Must run taller diameter tires try using a low end "Torque Cam" like our new Mad-Max #2235

If you run hard don't forget the Spring Plate Retainers to keep the plate from going past the Stops.*ck
