First drive or press the ball out (this will force the ball with the taper shaft out of the top of the ball joint) Beat or press from the threaded end. Once the inner part is removed, dig out the plastic insert. Then weld one continuous bead of weld in the center of the I.D. (weld a circle on the inside diameter) Let it cool a little and you can tap out the old ball joint with a punch. The welded ring shrinks when it cools and pulls in. It's is a little hard to explain but is the best way to remove the ball joint since there is not a decent lip on the arm to press agents. Then any local shop can press the new one in if you don't have access to a press. New Ball Joints-> order Rebuilt Arms w/new Ball Joints-> order
